We believe in an interdisciplinary, equitable, accessible, and inclusive culture of health research.
The Undergraduate Health Research Exploration (UHRE) program is an initiative funded with the support of York University’s Agents of Change program. We recognize that as health researchers, we tackle questions that fundamentally impact our communities. We believe that in order to holistically address problems in health, we must encourage as many people as possible to engage with health research. A diverse body of next-generation researchers is a key part of addressing the diverse community we serve.
We believe that transformational work is done by transformational people. Each one of us carries the potential to ignite change in the way we think about health. UHRE is a student-led organization that is committed to giving as many people as possible the tools, knowledge, and wisdom for future transformational leaders in health research to pursue their ideas, and answer their burning questions!
If this vision resonates with you, we invite you to participate in our engagements, and collaborate with our team!
